St. Moritz Snow Polo World Cup 2025 Celebrates 40 Years
From January 24 to 26, 2025, the prestigious resort of St. Moritz in the Swiss Alps will host the highly anticipated Snow Polo World Cup, a celebrated event that draws global attention.
Set against a stunning alpine backdrop, the tournament promises an extraordinary experience with exciting polo action, vibrant cultural traditions, and an unmatched atmosphere.
With over 25,000 spectators expected and the picturesque frozen Lake St. Moritz as the venue, this year’s 40th-anniversary edition is set to be unforgettable.
As the only high-goal polo tournament held on snow, this event brings together top players and their ponies.
With over 40 cm of solid ice and ideal winter conditions, the stage is set for a spectacular competition. Polo ponies have been specially prepared with horseshoes for the snow, and many have arrived from across Europe to acclimatize.
Beyond polo, a cultural program adds to the allure, including the traditional Schlitteda parade on January 25, featuring horse-drawn sleighs and regional dances.
On Sunday, January 26, the COOP FIS Cross-Country World Cup races will complement the polo action, creating a thrilling atmosphere for all in attendance.
