Since introducing the concept in 2023, the company has refined its approach to reduce risks and speed up certification, aiming to be the first certified hydrogen-electric light jet.

The BYA-1 is a groundbreaking hydrogen-powered aircraft with key innovations, including a battery-free fuel cell, optimized hydrogen tank placement, and advanced thermal management.

These advancements ensure superior reliability, increased safety, and reduced operating costs.

With a simplified electric powertrain, the BYA-1 reduces moving parts by 90%, cutting maintenance expenses by up to 55%.

Its hydrogen fuel is expected to slash operating costs by 65% compared to sustainable aviation fuels (SAFs) by 2025, and 17% compared to traditional Jet A-1 fuel by 2030, offering a compelling option for eco-conscious corporate travelers.

Designed for efficient business aviation, the BYA-1 boasts an 800 nautical mile range, a 310-knot cruising speed, and the ability to operate from airports with limited space, such as London City Airport.
