Benjamin Ferrand, chef aboard the 50-meter Victoria Del Mar, has been crowned the winner of the prestigious 6th edition of the Superyacht Chef Competition, held at the Yacht Club de Monaco.

The event, organized by La Belle Classe Academy, celebrated the culinary talents of nine chefs from superyachts ranging from 36 to 97 meters in length.
They competed before an esteemed panel of judges, showcasing their exceptional skills under tight time constraints and with limited resources.

Ferrand stood out for his imaginative dishes, blending rich textures and innovative techniques. His standout creation was a delicious crab reduction sauce paired with a savory emulsion, followed by a light tiramisu dessert with espuma and a touch of combava.
The final saw Ferrand face off against Christoph Siebentritt and Gaëtan Di Santo, ultimately securing the title amidst a rousing ovation from his crew.

Judged by a panel of culinary luminaries, including Jean-François Girardin and three Michelin-starred Dimitri Droisneau, the competition also emphasized sustainability, with chefs encouraged to minimize food waste and use local, eco-friendly ingredients.
The event provided a unique opportunity to celebrate the often-overlooked art of yacht chefs, positioning Monaco as a leader in advanced yachting and gastronomy.
